Geaghan's Restaurant & Pub |
Thousands of locals and travelers to Bangor, Maine agree that Geaghan's Restaurant & Pub are as close as you can get to a "home away from home." |

|
Fine food and beverages are amply supplied by Geaghan's congenial and efficient staff. The Old Irish adage, "laughter is brightest where food is best," was never truer than at Geaghan's Restaurant & Pub. Continuing in their father, John Geaghan's footsteps, the brothers Geaghan and "mom" provide bountiful meals, libations and a convivial atmosphere. First time guests, as well as long standing patrons, feel "right at home." |
| The restaurant is built around a railroad theme, with many artifacts, posters, train schedules and memorabilia all around the room. When John Geaghan opened the restaurant, the roundhouse for the Bangor & Aroostook Railroad was still active and located behind the restaurant. John picked 'The Roundhouse' as the name of the restaurant. Railroad workers were among the early clientele. The roundhouse has long since been torn down but retired railroad workers continue to patronize the restaurant and many of them have provided artifacts and artwork that is displayed in our restaurant today. |
| Our menu is varied and features freshly baked breads, soups and stews that are made right here from scratch, and specialties ranging from fresh seafood and prime rib to Irish nachos and boneless Buffalo wings. Try Father John's Famous Fish Chowder. |
|
| Since 1975, when John Geaghan started Geaghan's Restaurant & Pub, Geaghan's has taken great pride in carrying on a family tradition of serving quality food and beverages to their valued customers and friends. His sons Larry, Pat and Peter still carry on the tradition of "our family serving yours." |
